V.O.T.G
VOICE OF THE GHETTO
V.O.T.G (Voice of the Ghetto) is a rap group out of South Central Los Angeles. Members are Lil Silent, Lil Trust, Loksta P, Big Trust, Ferndogg, Critical, Seven 50 along with Producers Tee Beats & Ru Productions.
V.O.T.G released their debut album (South Central State of Mind) on September of 2018. V.O.T.G started in 2015 after group founder/member Lil Silent’s release from a long stint in the prison system. Lil Silent was already locally underground rapping in his neighborhood in the 90’s before going to jail in 1998.
Soon after his release in 2015, Lil Silent & his nephews formed the V.O.T.G group & began releasing countless tracks, mixtapes & videos which can be found on YouTube & SoundCloud. These tracks & videos generated a buzz & fan base that loved the raw & grittiness of their lyrics & videos.
Seeing the groups popularity growing, in 2018 V.O.T.G decided to take it to the next level. Creating merch for sale, putting out countless group & solo projects on all streaming platforms. Countless music videos, most notable is the (South Central State of Mind) video directed by film director Timur Bootzin. The video made its rounds in the film festival circuit & eventually won Best Music Video award at the Arpa International Film Festival.
In 2019 V.O.T.G began hitting the streets & performing live in countless venues in LA & surrounding areas. Most notable was opening up for Conejo in Bakersfield, for YBE in Santa Ana, For DayLyt in Reseda, for DJ Quik & Kurupt in Riverside & for The Game @ The Novo in Downtown LA.
V.O.T.G continues their run with many projects in the works.
